5. The Atmosphere inside BMO Field

Toronto holds a higher overall seed in MLS, making their home venue, BMO Field the site of MLS Cup 2016. If there is one place that much grew in popularity over the past three seasons, it’s BMO Field. The new stadium additions make for a terrific atmosphere. Plus, having a dynamite fan based makes it a hostile environment for any club paying TFC a visit.

TFC holds an 8-3-6 record at home in 2016 and is perfect at home during the playoffs, conceding just one goal to the Union. On the season, TFC allowed 20 over their 39 total conceded goals in at home. While that is not much difference from on the road, the club finished second overall in MLS for goals allowed.

Seattle scored 23 goals on the road this season and continued that same tune during the playoffs. If there is one downside for TFC hosting, it’s that the Sounders know a thing or two about playing in a loud and hostile environment.
