No one is questioning Sergio Ramos uncanny abilities to defend. He’s a top defender that’ll will his side to victory at the grandest stage, just ask Atletico. The Problem with Ramos is his decision-making in crucial points during games which can cause damage for Real Madrid.

More from FC Barcelona

In last year’s El Clasico at Camp Nou with the game tied 1-1, Ramos picked up his second booking by diving late into Luis Suarez, who made the most of it and got the influential defender sent off with 10 minutes remaining. Luckily, Ronaldo and Bale connected minutes later to give Blancos 2-1 victory over their fierce rivals. Had Barca manage to win that match, Real supporters would have been calling for Ramos’s head.

This is the player with the most red cards in La Liga history, with 19 of them in his illustrious Real Madrid career, but his boss Zinedine Zidane will be hoping the 30-year-old leads by example by being dominant in the air on both ends when they visit Barca this Saturday.

If Real were to retake the La Liga crown from Barcelona, it’ll be on their skipper as his the heart and soul of Los Blancos.
