4. Kyle Walker doesn’t care if you kick him in the face

I find it ridiculous the number of English pundits who are fixated on the possible Dele Alli dive, but have completely ignored Kyle Walker being kicked in the face. Neil Taylor amazingly managed to avoid any sort of card after his horror challenge.

In my estimation, Taylor clearly should have been sent off. His studs made contact with Walker’s face above the eye. Walker was standing at his normal height at the time. Taylor isn’t a dirty player, but that was a dirty play.

To Walker’s credit, he got himself bandaged up and came back onto the pitch. All he did was put in a 90 minute shift while earning a Whoscored.com player rating of 8.4. He terrorized Swansea’s left flank for most of the match.

In fairness to Walker, we shouldn’t be surprised. He’s been excellent all season long. The English international just continues to play better and better for Pochettino. If his career arc continues there’s no telling what sort of crazy transfer offers Spurs might receive for Walker this summer. Hopefully Tottenham will refuse them all.
