Ranking the 20 Premier League managers

Arsene Wenger – Arsenal
Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger in fourth. Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. All jokes aside, few anywhere in the world have had the impact on one club and one league quite like Le Professeur.
In his 21st season in charge of the Gunners, Arsene Wenger has proven to be a model of consistency and planning. Three Premier League titles and six FA Cups highlight his incredible work in North London and he once again has Arsenal in fine form during the current campaign.
Wenger displayed a talent early in his time at Arsenal of finding players who could play the type of football that he wanted to see. No side better summarised this than “The Invincibles” of the 2003-04 season, finishing the Premier League campaign unbeaten. Players like Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Dennis Bergkamp achieved true greatness under Wenger’s tutelage.

One of Wenger’s lasting effects on football in England will always be the fitness and dietary requirements that he introduced to his teams. Placing a premium on having the best possible athletes on the pitch changed the approach of clubs around the Premier League.
In recent years, Wenger’s approach to the transfer market has caused supporters quite a bit of frustration. Arsenal seem to constantly miss out on targets and rarely spend huge sums. But their results are incredibly consistent and the Gunners will no doubt be looking to continue to climb up the table in 2017.
Arsene Wenger’s reign at Arsenal will always be looked at as a success, with the legendary Frenchman looking to add more trophies in the near future.
