Sean Dyche – Burnley

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has been presented with unique challenges during his time with the Clarets and has faced all of them with an incredible work ethic towards his position.

In charge of his second Premier League campaign, Dyche will be looking to ensure that his side are not relegated back to Championship as they were during the 2014-15 season.

A former defender in his playing days, Dyche brings an organised approach to a hard-working Burnley side. Positioning and work rate are top priorities which have allowed the club excellent recent success.

Dyche took over his current position in 2012. In his first full year the following season, he lead Burnley back to the Premier League with consistently strong performances. Despite relegation to the Championship, Burnley captured the league title and immediately returned to the top flight after a dominant campaign.

Normally operating within a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 formation, Dyche’s tactics focus on keeping the match in front of the defence and getting the ball forward quickly to their striker. Forwards like Sam Vokes and Andre Gray have been outstanding within this system

Goalkeeper Tom Heaton has been one of the best at his position in the Premier League and helps to keep Burnley’s defensive shape with fantastic leadership.

The key to the Clarets’ struggles this season has been consistently finding goals, leading to only four victories in 14 matches. However, Dyche has displayed incredible passion and loyalty to a side that aims to keep their place in the first division.

At only 45 years of age, Sean Dyche’s abilities as a manager will only continue to improve as time goes on.
