Eddie Howe – AFC Bournemouth
The recipient of Manager of the Decade honours at last year’s Football League Awards, Eddie Howe is one of the most talented young managers in England. Heavily linked to the English national team position over the summer, Howe has led Bournemouth to consistent success over the past few years.
Howe’s playing career ended prematurely after injuries and he moved into coaching immediately. He took over a Bournemouth side at the bottom of League Two in early 2009 and managed to save them from relegation. The club was promoted to League One the very next season.
A brief spell at Burnley eventually led him back to the Cherries in 2012 and they achieved promotion to the Championship the following year. The 2014-15 season brought yet another spectacular rise, this time securing Bournemouth’s first-ever season in England’s top division.
Wise beyond his age, the 39-year old possesses an incredible ability to learn and work with his players. Howe preaches tactical discipline and has a positive attitude that Bournemouth have responded to fantastically over recent years.
Expected by many pundits to quickly return to the Championship, a 16th-place finish last season continues their Premier League status.
The Cherries have displayed solid form again during this current campaign. With Eddie Howe’s incredible talent leading the way, Bournemouth will continue to surprise many moving forward.
