4. Christian Eriksen hitting top form at the right time

Christian Eriksen, is without doubt, one of the key cogs of Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham side. Having joined in 2013, the Dane has just gone from strength to strength at White Hart Lane.

His contributions in the previous campaigns meant he was rewarded with a new contract at the beginning of this season. But the former Ajax player struggled to hit the levels he had in the past. Having gone without a goal and only three assists in the first eleven games of the season, he seems to have rediscovered his best form just before the key clash against United.

He scored his first Premier League goal of the season against Chelsea and managed to score two more in the 5-1 mauling of Swansea along with an assist against the Welsh side.

And he was at his brilliant best in the Champions League game against Moscow, as he was a constant thorn in the Russian side’s defence. He was involved in everything positive for the Londoners at Wembley and was involved in the build-up to their first two goals of the night.

His form will be crucial for Spurs against United, as Eriksen, playing down the right-flank, can cause serious problems to a suspect Matteo Darmian who has struggled at left-back.
