These five Tottenham stars could depart in January

Say what you want about Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, but he’s a very decisive manager. When he is through with a player, they don’t reside at White Hart Lane very much longer. That could lead to quite an interesting January transfer window for Spurs.

Most of the rumors to date have dealt with players who Tottenham might purchase. This piece will deal with the stars who should feel Pochettino’s axe. I don’t actually expect all five to be given their walking papers, but think they represent the group most likely to be sold.

As always, some of this conjecture depends on how much transfer interest might exist for a particular player. Spurs can’t sell any player if there isn’t an interested buyer. Fortunately, Daniel Levy is pretty good at unearthing interested clubs when the time comes.

These five Tottenham stars shouldn’t be signing any long-term leases for apartments in North London over the next several weeks. Each could find themselves suiting up for a new club in February.
