5. Moussa Sissoko

The French midfielder is the most difficult player on the Tottenham squad to project moving forward. If you told me he was going to become a vital starter during the second half of the season I wouldn’t be at all surprised. Conversely, if you told me he was made to train with the youth, that wouldn’t shock me either.

Anytime a player is that inconsistent it’s going to make him a target. Pochettino has already spoken publicly about his disappointment in Sissoko’s play this season. It’s not hard to imagine him being frozen out and sold in January.

As of today, I hope that doesn’t happen. We got a chance to see real glimpses of the Frenchman’s talent when he came on as a second half substitute at Old Trafford. If he can build on that momentum, he could find himself in the club’s starting XI pretty soon.

At the very least, Tottenham will entertain offers for their enigmatic midfielder in January. If they find a buyer who will allow them to break even then Sissoko will be gone. Perhaps fortunately, I don’t believe that club exists. Expect Sissoko to finish the season with Spurs.
