4. Michel Vorm

The Dutch keeper hasn’t done anything wrong at Tottenham, he’s just stuck behind the club’s venerable captain in the form of Hugo Lloris. As a result of the French keeper’s presence, Vorm is certainly expendable.

You might be thinking that Tottenham definitely need a strong backup for Lloris. You’re right, but you’re forgetting about Pau Lopez. If Pochettino really trusts the young Spanish keeper, he could slide into the number two role.

The good news for Spurs is that there will be significant transfer interest if Vorm is made available. He still has enough to start for a number of big European clubs. In particular, Brendan Rodgers and Celtic have been strongly linked with Vorm all season long.

If Vorm wants to stay, he’ll certainly be kept. I just have a sneaky suspicion that bowing out of the Champions League competition might convince him to move elsewhere. No one can blame Vorm if he wants to get one more shot at a starting gig as his career winds down. If Vorm wants to leave. Spurs should accommodate his request. If he wants to stay as a number two, he should be afforded that opportunity.
