Well what a surprise it is to see that Arsenal will be meeting up with Bayern Munich yet again. The two clubs were in the same group in last year’s competition and faced each other in the round of 16 in the 2012-13 and 2013-14 tournaments.

Arsenal won Group A so fans were hoping that the draw would be kind to their club. Bayern Munich was probably not at the top of their wish list.

This year however, there is a feeling that it could finally be Arsenal coming out on top versus the Gunner’s nemesis.

Arsenal have the look of a confident club this season and finally have depth in its squad. The Londoners are sitting second in the Premier League with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in great form.

Carlo Ancelotti has inherited one of the most coveted jobs in European football. However, replacing the legendary Pep Guardiola is tough.

Bayern Munich do not have the same fear factor this year as the club has had in the past. They top the Bundesliga but have struggled at times.

The Germans came in second in Group D and actually lost away to minnows Rostov of Russia on Match Day 5.

Arsenal have beaten Bayern Munich before but come up short on aggregate. This time out the Gunners have the advantage of playing the second leg at home;
