#2 Consistency

Look Everton family, we deserve a little love from the late game torture that has been plaguing our poor hearts for the last 1 1/2 years.  It would be one thing if Everton would lose by two and just give the fans an anticlimactic loss.  It wouldn’t be welcomed to be sure, but at the very least it would be easier to stomach.

Monday’s last-gasp loss to the biggest rival on the schedule is the worst of them all.  Worse than the seesaw Bournemouth loss a year ago, worse than any other.  Surely, a point was in the bank only to be cruelly snatched away.

The second gift that Everton fans deserve to be unwrapping this Christmas is a nice big shiny bag of consistency.  This season has seen fewer of the devastating losses that plagued
a year ago, but the problem has been long stretches of poor play followed by defeating quality opposition (looking at you Arsenal win).

The gift is that Everton under Koeman would just figure out who they are.  If just a few of the losses could be turned into draws and a few of the draws turned into three points a Europa League spot is waiting.  We all know that on their day Everton is capable of beating every club in the Premier League and possibly at their place.  If Koeman could just find that switch for Everton a few more times and more consistently it would be fantastic and possibly the best Christmas gift for long-suffering Everton fans.
