Unsettled Real Madrid’s midfielder James Rodriguez has insisted he is happy at the Santiago Bernabeu despite exit links.

The Colombian international has  struggled to find regular minutes in the first team under manager Zinedine Zidane, since he was hired to lead Real Madrid.

After Madrid’s 4-2 extra time victory against Kashima Antlers in the Club World Cup final on Sunday, James Rodriguez, who was not featured in the match in the match, was asked about his future with Los Blancos, revealing he has offers from other clubs and could leave in January.

Real’s captain Sergio Ramos got into the act by telling reporters, “I’m no one to have an opinion on James’ personal issues,” Ramos said. “I hope that he is always with us but each of us has to decide his future, although today is a day to be satisfied and happy, and not to focus on other things.”

James has suited for 16 matches in all competitions this campaign, totaling two goals and eight assists on nine starts. The likes of Lucas Vazquez, Marco Asensio and Casemiro have all surpassed the Colombian in the hierarchy at the Bernabeu.

The 25-year-old moved to the Spanish capital from AS Monaco for a hefty sum of €80 million, following his success at the 2014 World Cup, winning the Golden Boot as the tournament top scorer with 6 goals.

Florentino Perez’s newest Galactico impressed in his first season under Carlo Ancelotti, tallying 17 times while assisting 17 others in 46 appearances.

In his second season with Blancos, James faltered with Benitez then Zinedine Zidane in charge. The No. 10 productions took a major hit, only starting 21 games in all competitions. He accumulated eight goals and produced ten more opportunities.
