Mourinho wants his signature

Manchester United Evening News’ Alex Porter has reported Jose Mourinho is keen on signing the Colombian playmaker, but where would he fit?

United’s recent success is due to their 4-3-3 formation allowing Paul Pogba to do his magic. Jesse Lindgard, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata have all been in terrific form.

The Red Devils would have no problem splashing €80 million on James, but Mourinho has different options at his disposal. Henrikh Mkhitaryan was finally impressing and showing flashes as why United made spend a fortune on him before his injury. Skipper Wayne Rooney is also in the mix with Mourinhoelecting to him in the midfield at times.

Unless James makes United significantly better, which will be difficult for the troubled Colombian to do, they’re off without him.
