Jose Mourinho was fired by Chelsea last December. At the time, his former Premier League winning squad was languishing in 16th place.

After sitting out the rest of the season, Mourinho was hired by Manchester United to take over from Louis van Gaal.

The former “Special One” has been anything but and his frustration may be the reason that he has become a distraction at Old Trafford. United have gotten off to the club’s worst start to a campaign since the 1990-1991 season. In fact, his predecessors David Moyes and van Gaal both had better records than Mourinho at this stage of the campaign.

Putting additional pressure on Mourinho is the fact that he spent heavily on former United player Paul Pogba who has yet to live up to his £89 million price tag.

The manager has also alienated players such as Wayne Rooney, Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Mourinho’s divisive behavior was best illustrated when he was recently sent to the stands for the second time this season. He was upset that Pogba was booked for diving and took it out on a water bottle.
