Nice – Juan Mata

Juan Mata is one of the nicest guys in the world of sports. The Manchester United midfielder is involved in a number of charitable organizations and truly likes to give back to those less fortunate.

Just this week he stopped by Manchester’s Wood Street Mission to personally hand out some of the 500 toys he donated to families in need.

Back in October a video circulated showing Mata taking the time to stop for photos with a young disabled boy outside of Old Trafford. The fact that the entire team was on a bus waiting for him, didn’t stop Mata from surprising the fan.

Mata also displays class as a player and teammate. When he was left out in the cold by Jose Mourinho at Chelsea he didn’t complain. He was eventually allowed to transfer to Manchester United in January 2014.

When Mata was reunited with Mourinho in Manchester this season it appeared that the Spaniard was once again not in the manager’s plans. Instead of sulking, Mata waited for his chance and proved his worth to the team.

Last week Mata was named Player of the Year by the Manchester United Disabled Supporters Association. The player thanked the organization with the following tweet:
