2. Isco

The Real Madrid star is the most talented player to be consistently linked with a move to Spurs over the last several months. Isco has clearly fallen out of favor with Zinedine Zidane, and may very well be on the move in January.

I say that, despite the player’s repeated objections that he doesn’t want to move in the middle of the season. If he continues to sit on the bench for Zidane, a concrete chance to earn meaningful playing time somewhere else should change his mind.

The question is whether or not Tottenham represent an attractive enough opportunity for Isco. I’m really torn on this question. On one hand, he has the talent to unlock the Spurs attack and help make them real Premier League title contenders. On the other hand, he could easily engineer a move to a club that’s already at the top of their European league.

When push comes to shove, I just can’t imagine the unveiling of Isco as a Tottenham star. When you can’t really see that imagine in your mind’s eye, it’s a pretty good sign that the move is an extreme longshot. To put it bluntly, Isco isn’t coming to Spurs in January.
