Tottenham will prevent Chelsea from making history

Tottenham host Chelsea today in a match with real history on the line. The Blues will attempt to break Arsenal’s record for consecutive Premier League victories if they’re able to defeat Spurs at White Hart Lane. Unfortunately for Antonio Conte and company, that’s not how this match is going to turn out.

Instead, look for Tottenham to put a stop to the Chelsea train. Mauricio Pochettino’s squad has been quietly playing better as of late, and could announce their presence in the Premier League title race with a win today. It’s not just Chelsea that have a lot at stake.

Remember that backing Spurs to win at home doesn’t mean I believe they’re going to win the league. In all fairness to Chelsea, they deserve their spot at the top of the Premier League table. I still believe they’ll be hoisting silverware at the end of the season.

Tottenham won’t be concerned with the Premier League title today, they’ll be squarely focused on gaining three points. Here are the top five reason why Spurs will come out on top.
