- Ronald Koeman
According to SportsItalia Television Network, Barcelona have already made contact with current Everton boss Ronald Koeman about the job.
Koeman spent six years as a player in the Catalan giants between 1989 and 1995, where he was a big part of the dream team managed by the legendary Johan Cruyff. He enjoyed 10 titles during his spell in Camp Nou, and returned to the club after retirement to work as an assistant to Louis Van Gaal between 1998 and 2000.
Since leaving Barcelona for the second time, Koeman has gone on to work in many different leagues and became an established manager. He won three league titles in his native Netherlands with Ajax and PSV, while winning a Copa del Rey title in Spain with Valencia.
Although he endured difficult spells in both Valencia and AZ Alkmaar where he ended up getting sacked, his time in England has brought him into the list of top managers. He had Southampton playing beautiful football and among top seven in the league in both seasons he managed there, and ambitiously moved on to Everton to build a bigger project. Although he has yet to manage a squad full of superstars, he has shown he has enough qualities to be considered for the Barcelona job.
