1. Julian Brandt – Bayer Leverkusen

More of a pipe dream than anything, Liverpool is being linked with youngster Julian Brandt this month despite the little likelihood that his services could be secured this month.

Brandt began his senior career with Leverkusen in 2014 and has since his lit up both the club and national team stages as he skyrocketed to the top of many clubs both in and outside the Bundesliga.

The budding German star also made the 27-man list ahead of UEFA Euro 2016 but was dropped in time to join the German Olympic Team, which finished with a silver medal in the competition.

The 20-year-old has pitched in three goals and six assists in 22 appearances for Bayer and is rumored to have a hefty price tag attached to him. He scored one of his six goals in this year’s Champions League group stages, and his two goals in Bundesliga play came against SV Darmstadt, and most recently, Emil Forsberg’s RB Leipzig.

Playing on the left side, Klopp would have some work to do in shifting players around if a deal for Brandt ever comes to fruition. Until further notice, though, expect little action from the Reds this window.
