5. Options off the bench
In addition to the deadly starting lineup United fields, they also have a plethora of options off the bench that can come in and change the game. In the Sunderland game, Liverpool brought on Origi directly after scoring to go up 2-1 in hopes of adding to their lead. This is their only established attacking player on the bench, as the others are either defenders or youth players. There is nothing wrong with promoting youth, but having experience could be vital in a big game like this.
United has all the signs pointing in the right direction. They have been on a stellar run of form and will look to make it seven wins in a row in league play. The match against Liverpool will be at Old Trafford on Sunday, January 15th at 11am EST. It will be a hotly contested match, with both sides going for it all in an attempt to climb the table.
