Juventus striker Simone Zaza has agreed terms for a loan move to Valencia, Patrice Evra deal also in talks

The struggling La Liga side Valencia are very close to signing Italy international Simone Zaza on loan, according to Eurosport.

The deal seems to be similar to the one that Juventus made with West Ham United in the summer. Valencia will be forced to buy Zaza for €16 million if he makes 15 appearances for the Spanish club.

Zaza signed for Juventus for up to €18 million in summer of 2015 after scoring 11 league goals during 2014/15 season for Sassuolo.

However, his time in Turin was limited to a bench role and caused him to exit the club to search for more playing time.

After making the headlines for wrong reasons during the 2016 European Championship, Zaza tried to save his career by joining West Ham United on loan.

His time in East London has been nothing but a huge disappointment, as the Italian forward failed to replicate his scoring form from two seasons ago. He appeared in eight league games for the Hammers but failed to score any goals.

The Premier League club is set to let Zaza walk in order to avoid paying €25 million transfer fee if he manages to get another game, and the Italian now seems to be heading to Valencia to rediscover his scoring boots.

There have also been growing rumors in Italy and Spain lately about the Spanish club planning to swoop in for another Juventus player Patrice Evra.

The reports first emerged when Evra’s agent revealed that the veteran French defender would like to see more playing time.

Manchester United are also linked to make a shocking move for their former player, although a deal to southern Spain is more likely as the La Liga club is looking for more veteran presence to add to their young squad.

Valencia are currently going through a tough time, with the coach Cesare Prandelli recently resigning from his position rubbing more salt into the wound.

Since then, they have appointed Salvador ‘Voro’ Gonzalez as the interim coach for the third time while they look for a permanent coach to save their season.

They suffered an embarrassing home loss to Celta Vigo on Tuesday in a Copa del Rey fixture and are desperate to bring in reinforcements.
