Arturo Vidal has been linked with Chelsea. He also allegedly liked an instagram post stating he could go to Chelsea.

Although Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic and N’Golo Kante have been formidable, they could use an attacking midfielder who can also shoot and defend. Vidal does all of this and more. He is 29-years-old though, so while age isn’t on his side, he is still a world-class midfielder.

Vidal would be a good transfer for Chelsea as he would provide a source of attacking play through the central midfield. Given that so much of Chelsea’s creativity comes from the wings, the Blues could use a creative force in the center of the midfield. Especially since Oscar, who was their main attacking threat through the middle, has now been sold.

Vidal was previously at Juventus where he played for Antonio Conte and won three Serie A titles with him.

This transfer doesn’t seem as likely though with Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti ‘rubbishing’ the claims. However, we all know anything is possible in football.
