CM: Marco Verratti, PSG

Chelsea have been linked with Verratti in the past month. The 24-year-old would be a perfect deep-lying playmaker for Chelsea. The dynamic midfielder combines the passing ability of Fabregas and Kante’s ability to run, tackle and hound opposition players. He would also be a better option than Vidal given his age.

PSG have recently slapped a £68m price tag on him which some would say is a bargain. In a market where Pogba is worth £100m, Verratti for £68m would be a fantastic transfer.

Verratti is one of the best midfielders in the game at his age.  Chelsea would make a statement of intent to their rivals with this signing.

Adding to the transfer speculation, Conte knows Verratti from his spell as manager of the Italy squad.

Although Chelsea do have competition from Juventus who look the most likely to sign him.
