RW: Federico Bernardeschi, Fiorentina

Transfer rumors around Federico Bernardeschi have been surfacing for a while now but it seems Chelsea have him in their radar.

Chelsea have lacked a truly talented and consistent right-winger for the past few years. The onus has been on Hazard to create on the left. Pedro and Willian have contributed very little on the right. Previous projects in Mohamed Salah and Juan Cuadrado have failed. So it’s important that Chelsea’s next right-wing transfer is a success.

Bernardeschi could be the answer.

The 22-year-old Italian winger, who has been labeled as the ‘new Roberto Baggio‘, is the leading scorer for his club with 9 goals in 18 appearances this season.

Other clubs such as Tottenham and AC Milan are after him too. But Chelsea have the advantage in signing him. Conte, who was the former Italy coach, gave Bernardeschi his debut for Italy.

He won’t be cheap though. Gazzetta dello Sport suggest Fiorentina want to include a £85m release clause in his new contract. Although, reports state he could go for £40m.
