Number Five: Antoine Griezmann

It’s almost certain that Griezmann will be joining Manchester United in the summer after reports that he’s verbally agreed personal terms with the club.

However, if the reports turn out to be false and Mourinho fails to land the 25-year-old striker from Atletico Madrid then expect Chelsea to be heavily linked with him.

More from Chelsea FC

Atletico currently have a transfer ban and they will have to wait and see if their transfer ban is lifted.

Atletico will be eager to sign Diego Costa so Chelsea may have an advantage in signing the French forward if Costa is used in a swap deal. Diego Simeone is a big fan of Costa, and he wants his former striker back at Madrid.

Chelsea could ask them to sell Griezmann to them, instead of letting him go to Manchester United which would kill three birds with one stone.

Chelsea would replace their unsettled striker with the third best player in the world. They would also damage United’s title hopes next season by stopping that deal to go through.
