4. Rose can blister de Bruyne

Kevin de Bruyne is a wonderful football player who can delight fans with astounding moments of skill. He is an immense threat for any Premier League defender. Danny Rose will need to be vigilant to keep him off the score sheet today.

De Bruyne, however, is not what you’d call fleet of foot. His lack of pace will make it impossible for him to keep up with Rose when the Spurs left back gets hold of the ball. That’s going to leave Bacary Sagna isolated with Rose one v one on quite a few occasions.

That isn’t a formula for success. Rose may not be the most skillful left back in England, but he is the best at the moment. In many ways, he’s the heartbeat of what Spurs try to accomplish every match. His sheer will and athleticism will allow him to torture the talented Belgian attacker on the afternoon.

Kevin de Bruyne is a brilliant player, but he’ll need massive amounts of help to cope with Danny Rose. City don’t have enough help to give him. Rose will run wild down the left flank.
