1. Tottenham need it more

Both Spurs and City feature really talented squads that are capable of winning Premier League titles. Only one of the sides is capable of winning the league this year though. That honor goes to Pochettino’s Tottenham side.

The Spurs squad will enter the match with an understanding that three points are necessary to keep them in the thick of the title hunt. They face an immense challenge in catching Chelsea, and any dropped points could prove fatal. It’s imperative for Spurs to close the gap on the Blues sooner, rather than later.

Guardiola’s side already have resigned themselves to scrapping for a place in the top four. That wasn’t the mission when Pep arrived, but that feels like a very long time ago now. Many pundits expect the Citizens to fail to achieve Champions League qualification this year.

When you just aren’t sure which side to pick, always opt for the club that has more on the line. In this matchup, that’s clearly Tottenham. Back the Spurs to secure an important victory.
