Liverpool: Get Jordan Henderson involved

Scoring an absolute screamer to cap things off in the September meeting, Jordan Henderson is bouncing back and forth in recent weeks as the English midfielder attempts to manage a persistent heel injury.

Seeing the field against Swansea in the 3-2 loss at Anfield, Henderson struggled to keep the tempo and ended up giving the ball away far too often. Visibly frustrated, Henderson will be a key figure in the Chelsea match as Liverpool’s midfield looks to flex their muscle.

Truly developing himself as a worthy club captain, Henderson is showing his ability to be one of the Premier League’s best midfielders statistically, but consistency is a problem both in fitness and recent performances. If Lallana is able to do some of the heavy lifting by shifting back into the midfield line, it would allow Henderson the chance to snap back into challenges, win the ball back, and then distribute from there. His game will need to be at its very sharpest, even with the Anfield crowd roaring him on.
