Tottenham will hope to avoid the magic of the FA Cup

In all honesty, today’s match pitting Tottenham against Wycombe is a no-win situation for Spurs. If they win handily, no one will give them any credit for dispatching a League 2 side. If they struggle in the slightest it will be seen as a sluggish outing by Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

That isn’t the reality inside the squad at White Hart Lane though. Several Spurs need to put forth really sold outings to improve their standing in Pochettino’s eyes.

Expect the Tottenham manager to put out a heavily rotated squad. I wouldn’t expect to see the likes of Hugo Lloris or Dele Alli start the match. Harry Kane, Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld have already been ruled out. That’s going to give some fringe squad members a real opportunity to be involved with the first team.

Without further delay, read on to discover the five Tottenham players that have the most to prove in today’s FA Cup match.
