1. Georges-Kevin N’Koudou

I don’t think I’m alone when I say that I just can’t figure out why N’Koudou hasn’t played more this season. I understand he’s new to the league and to the English language, but he gives Pochettino’s attack real pace and purpose.

I’m not saying he should be a regular Premier League starter, but he should be a prime option off the bench. The match against Wycombe should give him a chance to impact the match from the opening whistle.

If N’Koudou wants to be a regular member of next year’s match day squad, a good showing in the FA Cup would be very advisable. If he can’t make a real impact soon, he could end up suffering the safe fate as Clinton N’Jie. The two are very different players, but both struggled to earn their manager’s trust.

Call me an eternal optimist if you like, but I’m backing N’Koudou to become a solid contributor next year. We could well look back at his performance today as a real starting point to his ascension to the senior squad.
