In what was an exciting game of Friday night Football during the 5thweek of the 2016-2017 Premier League, Liverpool demonstrated that they are—or were—finally ready to challenge for the sought-after Premier League trophy.

Flash forward 18 matches later; these two teams will once again go head-to-head, with Liverpool attempting to close the eight point gap between them. However, this task will be hard to accomplish, as many teams have now discovered.

Conte has stepped into the helm of this squad and made a much improved change to that of last season’s Jose Mourinho and interim-manager Guus Hiddink.
