Inconsistency of Liverpool Front Three

It’s very interesting to see what one summer signing can bring to a team. Sadio Mane heading to the African Cup of Nations with Senegal is one of the biggest blows to a Liverpool team that was just starting to find its groove. He has been sorely missed in the current squad for the pace and natural goal scoring abilities he brings to this club.

While Roberto Firmino scored two goals against Swansea, his form can be characterized as inconsistent at best. I personally believed he would change the way that Liverpool played the game with his pace and passing ability. Against Swansea, he showed that he can still be a dominant force in front of the goal. Unfortunately, he wasn’t rewarded for those efforts.

Daniel Sturridge, while oozing with talent, cannot for the life of him seem to stay healthy. Liverpool knew this before they signed him but these injuries have not improved over the years. While he is relatively young, his body is continuously failing him and before long may be sent packing to the highest bidder.

Then comes Philippe Coutinho. Another young Brazilian with incredible power from such a little figure. There is no denying his talents, his free kicks against Manchester City and Southampton prove this kid’s gusto. But still not finding his form after injury – Klopp’s attacking problem seems unresolved.
