5. League form
Nice has had a fantastic season in Ligue 1 so far. Their only loss came in a 1-0 away match at Caen back in November. They have since gone 10 unbeaten with five wins and five draws in that time. Before the loss, they had won nine out of their first 11 matches with the other two being draws. It was an impressive run to say the least that they hope to replicate in the coming weeks.
The team’s ability to come away with even just a point has really helped them to stay near or at the top of the table. Even a 0-0 draw against Bordeaux is seen as a good point won due to Nice having two players sent off late in the match. Unfortunately, the teams league form has no translated to any other competition.

Nice has been knocked out of the league cup and Coupe de France. They lost both in the first round they were entered. They also won just two out of six matches in their Europa league group, finishing bottom of the table with six points. The team hopes to finish in at least the top three to rectify their European hopes, making it to the Champions League for the first time since 1959.
Overall, the match against Monaco should be a hard-fought one for Nice. It should be an end to end affair with plenty of scoring chances for both sides. Nice should come out on top if they continue their great defensive play and dangerous offense. The match will take place on Saturday February 4th and 11am EST.
