5. Diego Simeone

It’s no secret that Diego Simeone is near the top of the list for many high-profile clubs looking to wrangle a breath of fresh air, and the Argentine provides just that.

His Atletico Madrid sides have risen from occasional contender to always in the race and winning five trophies with the now Spanish giants proves his credentials at the highest level. Taking in a La Liga title, a Copa del Rey, while also finishing runner-up in the Champions League final twice, Simeone’s style is a successful one. Having players like Antoine Griezmann, Yannick Carrasco, and a staunch back line certainly helps, but their winning ways start at the top with “El Cholo.” In addition, showing what he can do with the money given, Arsenal FC may turn into more spenders than savers should Simeone get the nod.

One thing going against the Gunners probability of landing the Atleti boss at the moment is his natural ties to Inter Milan, with the man himself saying he understands these links as “normal” and that Inter could very well be a part of his future. However, with his time in the Spanish capital still rolling, the red part of London can still be encouraged by a move in due time.
