2. Frank de Boer

One “outside” candidate that might be able to do a job for the Gunners if Frank de Boer. Like Simeone, he has been linked in and out with Arsenal FC in recent years, but nothing even remotely concrete ever came of it.

His success at Ajax is well-known having won four league titles and the Johan Cruyff Shield in six years with the Dutch giants, but his one-year spell at Inter in 2016 left much to be desired. Taking over for Roberto Mancini for the Italian side, de Boer struggled to quickly implement a system, and despite making a couple of big money signings, the results were falling by the wayside. After a difficult stretch to begin the Serie A and Europa League campaign, de Boer was sacked after less than three months in charge.

Arsenal FC supporters appear to go back and forth in terms of support of the possible replacement, but now waiting in the wings for his next position, de Boer is rumored to be a favorite for the Rangers job. However, if he holds on long enough a spell in the Premier League may be his reward.
