No N’Golo, no party!

N’Golo Kante, where do we ever being on this little Frenchman. Claudio Ranieri should have done everything he could have to keep this player in the Leicester City Blue, including slashing his tires and locking him in his house. What an impact this player has on a team.

This is one player you won’t often see on the score-sheet but offers so much to a game. The loss of Kante has been a swayed the control of the game away from Leicester City and they can no longer dominate the midfield like they used to. Ranieri did everything he possibly could have to keep this player at his Club, but when large clubs like Chelsea come knocking with deep pockets – it becomes hard to say no.

With the switch, Ranieri has struggled to find a replacement. Leicester City relied heavily on this player last season to make interceptions, shut down opposition and put that ball forward to create a swift counter-attack. And here is where Ranieri’s problems are now… not one person in the squad has stepped up to the quality of Kante and tried to play that system. When you look at where Leicester City was last season and where Chelsea is now, one of the main reasons of this is N’Golo Kante. He is a powerful center midfielder who will stick to his opponents like glue and not allow them to create any chances.

Ranieri surely does not deserve the sack for failing to keep one player, but he needs to start getting creative on how to fill this massive gap in his team as a result.
