Players that will be a part of Manchester United’s plans in 2017.

Manchester United and manager Jose Mourinho have seen the positive effects of a strong summer transfer period, with additions like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba all in good form as of late.

While this past January transfer window may have been relatively quiet for the Red Devils, the club and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward certainly have their sights set on July. The most significant of United’s recent moves involved the sale of midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin to Everton.

With several new players being brought into the squad, consistent form took time for Mourinho’s side. However, with fellow new signing Eric Bailly back in the team as well, United’s line-up has been effective.

There is still quite a bit of work for the club in the present time. Sixth in the Premier League table, the EFL Cup final against Southampton, a visit to Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup Fifth Round and a Europa League encounter against Ligue 1 side Saint-Etienne all make for an incredibly hectic time.

But it is never too early to look ahead, as Manchester United always seem to have their thoughts looking forward to the future in terms of players and personnel.
