Victor Lindelof – Benfica

Jose Mourinho has utilised a 4-3-3 formation often this season with Manchester United, but the Special One’s results-based approach can also see modifications from time to time. With flexibility being a useful quality for the Portuguese tactician, Benfica defender Victor Lindelof becomes an attractive target during the summer transfer period.

The Swedish international has displayed great vision and quality on the ball for one of the most successful clubs in Portugal, as his overall game continues to evolve.

Able to play centrally and in the right-back position, Mourinho could apply his talents at United in a number of ways. Lindelof would certainly be capable of taking over a starting full-back role from Antonio Valencia down the line in the future also.

At only 22 years old, Lindelof’s potential is certainly high. Thanks to his versatility on the back-line, United going after both Lindelof and Kostas Manolas would be a real possibility.

With his skill and ability to play in different positions, Manchester United could bring in one Europe’s best young defensive talents this summer with Victor Lindelof.
