Antoine Griezmann – Atletico Madrid

The crown jewel for Jose Mourinho and Ed Woodward during the summer transfer period will undoubtedly be Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann. The French international has been one of the most exciting and talented players in Europe over the past few seasons.

Griezmann scored 32 goals across all competitions for Los Rojiblancos last year, and has 15 thus far during the current campaign.

With an attacking skillset able to rival any forward in the world, the 25-year old would instantly improve any front-line. At the international level, Griezmann helped carry France to final of Euro 2016.

The transfer fee is reported to be between 85 and 95 million pounds, but United appear ready to make the move happen. With Atletico Madrid preparing to open a new stadium next season, the sale of Griezmann may be necessary for the costs of business.

Signs are certainly pointing the player towards Old Trafford as well. Close friend and team-mate on the French national squad Paul Pogba has discussed a possible move, while Griezmann’s younger brother is under the impression his sibling will be a Red Devil.

Alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rashford, Griezmann could find an ideal situation under Jose Mourinho.

The current season still has much to bring the club and supporters, but Manchester United will already be focused on key transfer targets for the summer.
