2. Faouzi Ghoulam

Flying under the radar but possessing the necessary qualifications, Fauozi Ghoulam could be the solution as Liverpool FC’s future left-back.

James Milner has held down the fort ahead of Spaniard Alberto Moreno in that role. But, the Reds need a true left-back that doesn’t fly into challenges or play in just one gear like Moreno. Plus, though Milner is fitting well, he isn’t a true fullback and could be better suited coming off the bench and into the midfield.

Ghoulam has been with Napoli since 2014 and continues to start at the left-back place every week for Maurizio Sarri’s side. At 26 years old, he isn’t past his prime and is further developed than Moreno, meaning he would hold his own coming straight into the team. And to be clear, Ghoulam is one of many fullbacks that could fit the profile for Klopp’s Reds. Regardless, the Merseyside club needs an answer in this department and Ghoulam could be just that.
