Liverpool FC: 5 early summer targets for the Reds
1. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Is he a long shot? Of course. But, would he be the marquee signing Liverpool fans have clamored for? Without doubt.
Unsettled at Borussia Dortmund this year, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made it clear that he’s looking for a way out. While his club has told him to focus on the present, the Gabonese national team forward is a prize many will want. In the past, “Auba” has stated his wish to move to Los Blancos, eyeing a move to La Liga over the Premier League. However, reported interest from clubs like Manchester’s United and City in the past never seemed to sway him.
Liverpool FC is a completely different target, though. The forward got a taste of what the Anfield atmosphere is like during last year’s remarkable Europa League tie, but to secure a permanent move would be next-level impressive for the Reds. No doubt Jurgen Klopp would be delighted to be reunited with Aubameyang, but the price is a hefty one.

The Reds’ attack could certainly do with some bolstering, and Aubameyang would potentially be the signing of the summer in the Premier League could they pull it off. However, present interest is low (even more so on the player side), so this may go under the “silly season” category of rumors at best.
