While forwards seem to get the most recognition for a team’s success it’s criminal to forget about the warriors in the midfield.

These defensive midfielders may not be as fun to watch than watching a player like Hazard or Sanchez but they do the gritty work in defence.

N’Golo Kante made 14 successful tackles against Liverpool which was a season record. Was it as fun as watching Hazard dribble past multiple Arsenal defenders? No. But watching players make clean tackles and interceptions is honestly quite fun to watch.
