3. Manchester United have the know how

The Manchester United squad is filled with players who have won trophies throughout their careers. They know what it takes to win big matches and that could prove to be useful when they play Southampton in the EFL Cup final on Sunday.

United have also won their last two finals at Wembley. They beat Crystal Palace last May in the FA Cup final and followed that up with the Community Shield win against Leicester City in August 2016.

Their manager Jose Mourinho is a serial winner and he will be hungry to add yet another trophy to his collection. Players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick have won lots of titles in their celebrated careers. And they will be hoping to lead the Red Devils to yet another trophy on Sunday.

On the other hand, most of Southampton’s players haven’t been in these types of fixtures and they might get overawed by the occasion. This could play the tie into United’s hands who will be hoping to lift the English League Cup for the 5th time in their successful history.
