1. Manchester United have a point to prove

The Red Devils go into the EFL Cup final with a big point to prove. Despite losing only once in 24 games, United still lie sixth in the Premier League table. They have only one won one major trophy in the last three years, the 2016 FA Cup.

United will know that nothing but a win will be acceptable to the fans. And a loss could prove to be a catastrophic result going into the business end of the season. So they will go into the game at Wembley looking to prove that they can still win titles in the post-Ferguson era.

Even though the EFL Cup is not the biggest trophy in England, winning it could prove to be a massive boost for the Red Devils. It could set the tone for what could be an exciting end to the season for the Red Devils.
