Barcelona’s season hasn’t gone too well so far and there are increasing whistles of unhappiness leaking out at the Camp Nou. After their 4-0 humiliation against PSG it’s safe to say that the pressure is mounting on Luis Enrique.

While Barcelona are currently second in the La Liga and two points ahead of third-placed Sevilla, their rivals Real Madrid have two games in-hand over their Catalan Rivals. Luis Enrique has predictably been under some pressure.

Although the players have come out in support of their under-fire manager with Gerard Pique stating that they were “with the coach to the death”. Gerard Pique also stated that he didn’t understand the fans that have been whistling at their recent games. Clearly, the whistles signal the fans’ unhappiness.

While no significant rumors have emerged yet as to who could replace Enrique, it’s only a matter of time before they do. Unless of course Barcelona have a dramatic change in form. They have simply not been playing like Barca usually play. The midfield haven’t been as dominant with the likes of Rafinha, Andre Gomez and Rakitic have struggled to replace the likes of Iniesta who is injured and ageing while Xavi has retired.

It’s clear that if a new manager does come in, he’ll have to adapt to the Barcelona footballing philosophy in order to please the fans but also install their own footballing ideas onto the team.

Here are the five most likely candidates that should replace Enrique if bad results continue.
