4. Antonio Conte

Let me be straight here, Antonio Conte is one of the best managers in football. His ability to organize a squad and get the best results out of them is amazing. That does not, however, mean that he’s fun for an attacker to play for.

Hazard clashed with Jose Mourinho because of his lack of commitment to the defensive end of the pitch. His defensive play has improved since Mourinho’s departure, but it’s clearly not a part of the game that he really enjoys.

Moving to Real Madrid would give him the opportunity to escape Conte’s somewhat rigid system. Zinedine Zidane’s squad has such tremendous talent all over the pitch that they won’t need Hazard to put in a strenuous defensive shift every night. That’s going to be hugely appealing for the prolific Belgian.

Hazard may like Conte as a person, but he strikes me as the type of player who’d enjoy a less structured system. Real Madrid’s talent and style would allow him the offensive freedom he craves.
