Sergio Aguero – Manchester City

One of the most prolific strikers in the Premier League could be on the move this summer, and Chelsea will be reportedly ready to welcome Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero to Stamford Bridge if given the opportunity. With Real Madrid as possible competition, a transfer for a player like Aguero would represent a major shift in attacking power.

The skill is evident, but there are certainly many moving pieces to this possible move.

A rift between Antonio Conte and Diego Costa could see the controversial forward’s exit from the Blues, making Aguero the perfect replacement. The Argentine has scored 20 goals across all competitions for Pep Guardiola’s side this season.

The arrival of Gabriel Jesus at City last month appeared to be forcing Aguero out of Guardiola’s line-up, until an unfortunate injury put the Brazilian out of action. Suddenly, that possible plan has changed. Aguero certainly proved his worth this past week, scoring two goals in an incredible 5-3 UEFA Champions League victory over Monaco.

Guardiola may not want to lose Aguero, just as Conte may see in the near future that he does not want to lose Costa.

While one transfer may possibly depend on the other, Sergio Aguero would add a new dimension to the Blues’ attack if Chelsea should sign the 28-year-old this summer.
