A review of the players Manchester City will look to this summer.

The 2016-17 season brought a major change for Manchester City, as they welcomed arguably the most talented manager on the planet with the hiring of Pep Guardiola. The club have responded well, currently second behind Chelsea in the Premier League table and part of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

Guardiola’s tactics were thought by many pundits to be destined for difficulty replicating success in England. While results have not been completely perfect, many players in his line-up have flourished.

Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva all have appeared quite comfortable in City’s new approach and philosophy under their Spanish tactician.

Not only have City players taken to Guardiola’s guidance, but the club’s summer signings have been major contributors as well. Nolito, Leroy Sane, Ilkay Gundogan and John Stones have all had an impact on the current campaign and look comfortable in their new surroundings.

Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus was added in January and began his career at the Etihad Stadium brilliantly, until an unfortunate injury slowed his excellent progress.

We highlight and review the players that Manchester City and Pep Guardiola will be targeting in the summer transfer window.
