Fabinho – AS Monaco

Manchester City’s back-line has gone through several changes this season. Pep Guardiola would certainly be able to count on consistency at the left-back position with the addition of Fabinho from AS Monaco.

The 23-year-old Brazilian has been the talk of several clubs throughout Europe, and City would likely be anxious to add his talents to their line-up.

Monaco are currently first in the Ligue 1 table and Fabinho has played an important role within the side. The defender has five goals and one assist in 25 league appearances this campaign.

More from Manchester City

Fabinho would bring a unique and versatile skill set to Manchester City. Possessing excellent vision and great pace, he is able to play as a defender and in the midfield. The Campinas native is also extremely productive taking penalty-kicks, displaying both power and accuracy from the spot when called upon.

Guardiola was able to see Fabinho’s talents up close and personal this week, as he recorded two assists in City’s 5-3 UEFA Champions League victory.

Aleksandar Kolarov has been a reliable presence at left-back for several years at the Etihad, but has been used in a variety of different positions this season and could be on the move this summer. The club would find an ideal replacement with Fabinho.
